Project Role: Network Engineer
Project Role Description: The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure to ensure a highly available and secure network environment. The Network Engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving network issues and providing technical support to end users.

Technical Expertise
Must Have Skills:
- Experience with SD-WAN networks.
- Experience with WAN/LAN technologies including DHCP, DNS, OSPF, BGP, TACACS.
- Experience supporting Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches, Meraki, and Cisco WLAN Controller 5500 / Cisco Meraki WiFi
- Experience supporting Cisco ASA firewalls including Site-to-Site VPN, AnyConnect & Firepower and SSL VPN connectivity.
- Experience with network tools such as SolarWinds (NPM, NTA, IPAM) and Wireshark
- Participate in managing all network security solutions. VLANs, ASA, Meraki, and ISE
- Convey highly technical information to end-users in lay terms at multiple sites/locations
- Experience in Azure Network Setup and support with firewalls and routers (Deploy and support).
- Create technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.
Good To Have Skills :
- Experience implementing and supporting connectivity into Cloud environments such as Azure direct routes and VPNs (Good to have)
- Troubleshooting VPNs
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, maintain, and support network infrastructure including SDWAN LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Manage and monitor network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN devices.
- Perform network configuration and maintenance activities including network security, data backup, and disaster recovery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues and outages.
- Provide technical support to end-users including assistance with network-related problems and inquiries.
- Maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, inventories, and configuration information.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the integration of network infrastructure with other systems and applications.
- Research and evaluate emerging network technologies and make recommendations for improvements to network infrastructure.

- Strong Technical Skills: A Network Engineer should possess strong technical skills to design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure. They should have experience with SD-WAN,LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN technologies and protocols such as DHCP, DNS, OSPF, BGP, TACACS.
- Troubleshooting Skills: A Network Engineer should be able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in real-time. They should have experience with network analysis tools and methodologies.
- Network Security: A Network Engineer should have a strong understanding of network security, including the ability to implement and configure firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, VPNs, and other security measures.
- Communication Skills: A Network Engineer should have excellent communication skills to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. They should be able to explain complex technical issues in a simple and concise manner.
- Documentation Skills: A Network Engineer should be able to create technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.

Educational Qualification:
- Some college or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related area or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years’ experience supporting an enterprise network – Tier 2 Support
- Cisco CCNA and CCNP preferred.
- Proven track record implementing and supporting redundant and scalable WAN architectures with a focus on reliability, security, and performance.
